I'm running Mame0105b (command line) and I'm having problems. All the games that are supposed to play in vertical screen won't. The screen won't flip and the option Cabinet - Cocktail is selected. I'm running Mamewah as my front end but it's not even flipping when I run it from my command line outside of Mamewah. Does anybody have any opinions or had this problem before? I'm running a SIS 651integrated video card and the machine is only about 2 years old. Please tell me if you need any additional info to help troubleshoot. Thanks in advance for any help.

to play verticalally, use -ror or -rol
ie: Mame pacman -ror
to set pacman in coctail mode so when players 2 turn, screen flips, you need to go to the settings (F2) and find anything that relates to it. Some games (I think like Arkanoid) it will display A B C, just choose it one by one then don't forget to reset (F3) then try it by starting a 2 player game.

If you have a dedicated vertical only cocktail cabinet, you'll want everything to play vertical....
If that is the case go to the mame config file and turn ROL or ROR from "0" to "1".
If you have one that you want to play vertical games vertically, and horizontal games horizontally (e.g. a 3 sided cocktail), I think there is an AUTOROR and AUTOROL -- which automatically rotates them vertically if it is a vertical game..
Much easier to just change it in your mame config settings for your table.
Set it to "cocktail mode" or screen flipping mode via the tab buttons and game settings for the appropriate games....
That's how I did it.
