Title: I found a Meteor upright (Asteroids Clone)? for $500 - worth it?
Post by: Dervacumen on May 11, 2006, 04:08:52 pm
It's an upright and looks to be in good condition, but I'm hoping to take a look at it later this afternoon or tomorrow.
The marquee looks like the Meteor II marquee from KLOV (http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=M&game_id=10614), but the part that says "part II" is not there.  At least it looks that way from the pic.   Is this over priced?

No, but $ 200 would be a fair price

If it's a working, good condiditon vector game, it's pretty much automatically in the $500 ballpark.  A serious vector collector might get excited about it due to the rarity.  Doesn't hurt that it's actually a fun game to play, either.  (assuming it's really a clone of Asteroids.)

That's kinda what I was thinking.  I hope I can see it, and work the price down some.  This would be a fine starter to my collection.

Chances are though, that it's just a raster invaders style shooter.

If it's a working vector game I'd pay $500 for it.
