Post by: pj on May 09, 2006, 06:32:48 pm
I have a wells g monitor brand new.  I have a 39-1 multi  pcb, about two weeks. Now if the game is played over 5 hours the screen will go red, with thin vert lines??  I unplug  still the same.. I unplug check the wireing, wiggle the connections and is is back normal..but soon after red again??  Any ideas?

Which connector seemed to effect it?

Does the problem fix itself as soon as you wiggle the connector?

I realize it's new but you might want to check the solder joints and connectors out real good.

Well no, The wires  I'm moving are the ones that go from the monitor to the what looks like a computer board of some kind.. they are connecterized in groups of three .. But  i have to turn of the game  off to get to reset...works for a few hours  then goes red again. Its like something getting hot.. All parts are brand new..

Computer board?

Wires going to the 39in1 pcb?
Or some other part of the monitor? (tube neck)
Or something totally different?

What model monitor is it?

Just trying to figure out what you have in there to maybe better help.
It helps to understand if we figure out what kind of setup you have there. ;)

Can you get any pics?

it sounds like the red drive transistor going short, either that or a broken track or bad solder joint-how new is new, brand new or new to you
