Don't buy that 5/64" cutter, the slot is too wide for t-molding, I used it and I will have to glue my Tmolding into the slot!

I used the 5/64 bit with Happ t-molding and it worked perfectly.

hmm so do you need a different bit for all the various types? T-molding.com sells a slot cutter that supposedly does it all.. and its width is 0.075" which works out to 4.8 / 64ths or about 5/64ths.. beats me... ???

I got the 5/64" bit that was recommended on this board, and T-molding.com t-molding where they recommend a slightly smaller groove. I didn't think the 3/100's of an inch would matter, but it did!
Happ Controls t-molding might have a slightly thicker spine, but I kinda doubt it. It may be that some materials work better with different width cutters, too. Who knows. All I know is I have to glue my t-molding into the grooves and I wish I could just tab it in with a mallet instead.

ok, for 3/4" T-molding I used a 1/16"(.0625") router bit.
I'm not sure about the depth, but it was the only 1/16 bit that sears had.
It worked great.

I've been using Joe's idea from his Savoia Arcade site & it has worked well.

It consists of using a Dremel with a guide attachment & a carbide cutting wheel.
The wheel cuts like nobody's business.
I always do a couple of practice cuts & fits with a piece of drop-off & scrap t-molding just to make sure that I've set the depth properly.
I use T-molding.com's stuff & it fits tightly into the slot.
I have to use a rubber mallet in order to drive it in all of the way.
I get a lot of use from both the guide & the cutter.
If you forget to drill your plexi at the same time as your panel (come on I know that I'm not the only one who has done this), you can fit the plexi to the panel & use your Dremel with the guide & a small drill bit to match-cut the button & stick holes.
The tungsten carbide cutter also works great on metal, plexi or anything else for that matter (including flesh so be carefull).

I looked everywhere and couldn't find one of those. Where did you get yours?

The local WallyWorld stocks 'em here for about $15 each.
I also saw them at the Home Depot.

According to the link, you shouldn't use the carbide wheel for metals - too late I already have.
