Title: Crayon Bullets?
Post by: Otraotaku on May 07, 2006, 10:29:33 pm
The guys over at Rooster teeth have done plenty of great episodes of red vs blue but lately one of the newest eps gave me an idea... could you really place a crayon in a magazine in the molded shape of a bullet and fire for atleast 2-5ft without disinigrating?

i leave the rest to you guys... hah  :applaud:

No.

I was just going to leave it at that, but here goes... If the pressure didn't disintegrate it, the heat of the charge would liquify it before it reached the end of the barrel.

Edit. I tried to watch that out of curiousity, but couldn't even stand to sit through it.

I'm sure TOK is correct.   Mythbusters tested the "ice bullet" myth and found that the heat destroyed them and only steam would come out the barrel of the gun.   The crayon would be one melted mess, IMO.

and your gun would be hopelessly fouled if it didn't vaporize.
