im a little confused about daisy chaining since i know nothing about electrical. i undertsand the idea, but not too sure about how to actually accomplish it. the pic on andy's site dosent help at all. i was wondering if someone has detailed pics or descriptions about it. or maybe theres a better alternative? thanks guys.

That's confusing, even for a llama.  What are you daisy chaining?  Can you give us a link to "the pic on andy's site"?

It's simple.  When you go to wire your buttons, for example, there's no point in having 18 different ground wires jammed into the same terminal on the I-PAC, so you daisy chain them in sequence (since they all go to the same place anyway.  Here's how it's done:

When you go to connect the grounds using .187 disconnect tabs, just crimp the end of the ground wire from the previous button together with the ground wire from the next button.  Keep doing this until all your buttons are chained together.  Make your last wire long enough to reach the I-PAC, then screw it into the ground terminal  That's it.

what's the final verdict on the circular daisy chain?  good, bad?
i.e.
GROUND TERMINAL-BUTTON-BUTTON-BUTTON-GROUND TERMINAL
instead of just
GROUND TERMINAL-BUTTON-BUTTON-BUTTON

bad + unneccessary = why waste wire?

There is somewhere a thread about all this.

Good thing of the circular is: As long as there is only one cable/connection broken in your daisy-chain everything still works.

Bad thing: Has been discussed here. If this would be nf/audio-technique there is a big no no no for two ground connections chained together, also electronically speaking it isn't very elegant to do it this way. As you are only handling switches, no problems should occure though.

Myself will not make it the circular way - I'm an electronic person and I want to know if I crimped one of the cables badly!  :)
