Title: Anyone play EA SPorts games on their cab?
Post by: mhermann on May 03, 2006, 03:23:18 pm
I saw a dedicated Madden cabinet at Dave and Busters and was wondering if anyone was playing that or NHL, NBA Live or Fifa on their cabs. Are they playable with just a stick and 7 buttons? Those games seem to rely on the analog sticks now more then ever.

I was planning on playing NHL 2005 on my cab, but it is limited in which keys you can remap to they keyboard, which limited me from being able to use it with more than 1 player. :/ If you have joysticks, then go for it! I believe you might also need a mouse to navigate the menus though.

I play FIFA2005 in my cab but is single player only.
(The game only allows one player to use the keyboard)

I don't see digital joysticks as a big problem.

Only issue I remember is that the language selection screen is forced to 800x600.

Well, I just remembered I do have an old version of Madden for the PC so I will give it a try. Thanks  for the input.

You actually can play with more than one player when using a keyoard. It involves using PPjoykey. You can even do 4 players with one keyboard!!!

Yeah, I tried that but it seemed more trouble than it's worth.
