Title: MAME video settings

Hi all,

I've acquired a nice 21" Sony PC Monitor that looks almost authentic in 640x480 which is great but what  are the recommended settings for MAME to prevent strange pixellation? so far Ihave these settings;

HW Stretch - 1
Cleanstretch - Auto
Keep aspect - 1
Resolution - 640x480

Some games appear a bit odd, is there a "Well Known" setting for MAME on VGA monitors?

Try adding some scanlines, but you won't be getting anything amazing on a VGA monitor.

My monitor produces scanlines at 640x480 so that aint a problem, I'd just like to know the recommended scaling options, cleanstretch or HWstretch with Keep aspect.  It's the one thing lacking from this site, the MAME options that is
