Just thought I'd drop anyone who is interested this note:
Google just announced that it has bought @Last Software's SketchUp and it will be providing it as freeware!
After scanning these forums (and contributing to a few) on posts regarding what software people used for designing their cabs.
Apart for those few genious' that can slog their way through AutoCad and the likes, it seems to me that a lot of votes were for SketchUp. (my vote would be in this camp too).
SketchUp combines the ability to create full 3D models of contructs and the ease of software which lets you start creating after viewing a tutorial for 5 mintues.
But...most people were put off by the ~$500 price tag. (or was it $300?)....whatever to freaking expensive for most people.
Then came Google.
Free!
Hope this helps someone.
Just my $0.02 worth.

Google is making a version of the product available for free for personal use. There is still a commercial version out there

I used this free sketchup to create a cabinet based on Lusid's design. It has a WG K7400, unfortunately you can't post sketchup files on here. Any tips on sharing it?

change the extension to .txt (or something like that)

Sweet! I just downloaded this, and it seems like the way to go for basic 3D design.
