Title: Quick question before I start wiring. I need to know pretty quickly.
Post by: JonnyBoy on April 27, 2006, 03:28:49 pm
Should I assign buttons one two and three to the top or bottom row? It would seem logical to assign 1-3 on bottom and 4-6 on top because of the possibility of hitting the bottom buttons when playing a game only requiring the top. Is this how I should go about it?

Thanks guys.

Everyone I have ever seen has done it like...

I have mine that way and it is fine, no problems.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I guess I'm going to be a conformist.  ;D

If you do it reversed, I'm pretty sure you will have to remap for street fighter.

No biggie, though.

Just my 2 cents but I think the brain logically thinks:

456

So any newb (read: female) who plays your cab will most likely expect it to be in that format.  Its all a preference thing though..you can always remap the software if you don't like it later...

Or if you dont like it, all you have to do is swap the quick connects around on your microswitches.... Leave enough lead on to do it.
