Oh man! I love that game (don't ask why)! It's right here in the antelope valley too. It seems a bit expensive though for something that appears to be in disrepair. How much do you all think its worth?

Edit: Nevermind. I don't know what I was thinking asking whether or not this thing was worth $100.

Well, that sucks. Turns out it was a mortal kombat that was painted gloss black and converted. It used to be a machine at Magic Mountian. He said I could have it for $60, but then backed out of the deal when he was offered $115. He said I could have it if I matched the new offer. When I asked about the condition of the cabinet, he said it is completely missing the coin door, the paint is becoming screwed up from sitting in storage, the back is slightly damaged, and that the entire game has been "decently abused".

Now, I know $60 would have been an absolute steal. But I'm really not into collecting actual cabs, so I don't know if $115 is still a good deal for a cabinet like I described. I wouldn't hesitate to but it for that price, if the cabinet was in at least working order, but I'm not sure about this particular one. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I think so. He said that the game was working until the monitor went out. The sound still works, so I'm guessing the PCB is still working, at least mostly.

even if the cab is crap, you could still be able to sell the pcb, guns, art, etc and get about $200

Thank you. That instills more confidence in me about this deal (though, I'm not planning on reselling it). Now, if I can just get this thing without the guy selling it out from under me again (I'm not holding my breath).

I dig that game too. I saw the posted description and it looked like a fair deal at $100 but I would have picked it up even at 150. Sucks that he raised it on you. Good luck with getting it if you can. Post some picks if you do.  ;D
