Edit: Nevermind. I don't know what I was thinking asking whether or not this thing was worth $100.

Post by: Tahnok on April 28, 2006, 02:08:27 am: Well, that sucks. Turns out it was a mortal kombat that was painted gloss black and converted. It used to be a machine at Magic Mountian. He said I could have it for $60, but then backed out of the deal when he was offered $115. He said I could have it if I matched the new offer. When I asked about the condition of the cabinet, he said it is completely missing the coin door, the paint is becoming screwed up from sitting in storage, the back is slightly damaged, and that the entire game has been "decently abused".

Now, I know $60 would have been an absolute steal. But I'm really not into collecting actual cabs, so I don't know if $115 is still a good deal for a cabinet like I described. I wouldn't hesitate to but it for that price, if the cabinet was in at least working order, but I'm not sure about this particular one. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you. That instills more confidence in me about this deal (though, I'm not planning on reselling it). Now, if I can just get this thing without the guy selling it out from under me again (I'm not holding my breath).
