Title: My day in Mame Hell

Thought I'd share my day.

So today, I decide to pick up the MDF material that I need for my new cabinet.

Store #1: Currently sold out of MDF.
Store #2:  Full stock on the upper self, but the forklift is being used to load roofing materials for the next hour!
Store #3:  MDF in stock , but the cutting saw is broken (needed 1 cut so it could fit in car)!
Store #4: back to store #2, but  nobody there can operate the saw - guys at lunch!

said the hell with it and went home.

Store #5: decided to go out and just get paint for the cabinet.  Picked out the correct color chips, but the salesguy tells me the mixer is broken!
Store #6: brought the smae paint chips with me, but the salesguy tells me they are out of the tint needed to mix my paint!

6 trips = A total waste of time...life in hell I guess.

The MAME gods are not smiling at you today.

Go get some rest or deal with Real LifeTM  and just try again tomorrow.  If you're building a MAME cab, you're going to be making roughly 43,235 trips to the hardware store anyway, so this is only the beginning. :)

that is a real bummer of a start! dont worry, that sounds like a really bad set of circumstances (unless you live in slackersville). most places will have most things most of the time...

heh luckily on the city block my sub is on either end has a sears and a aco hardware. allthough i do have to drive about 2 miles to get my mdf ;)

Well..... Today everything worked out. Picked up the MDF and the paint and even
received my molding /joystick order in the mail!

I'm a happy guy.

You left out the part where you violently killed somebody. I refuse to believe that you made six different trips, bought nothing, and yet nobody had to die.
