Title: Happs Arkanoid spinner
Post by: Teknique on April 25, 2006, 08:05:09 pm
Assuming I even wanted to spend $137 for this Arkanoid spinner, is this even something that a home arcade enthusiast as myself can hook up easily (i.e. USB or other direct connect means) or does it require PCBs and other stuff that I don't really know anything about....?

Thanks!

You should be able to connect it to the computer via USB with an Optiwiz from Groovy Game Gear or by hacking a mouse.  I highly recommend getting the Optiwiz.  If you are getting the spinner for Arkanoid, go for it.  If you want a high resolution spinner that will work pretty well with Arkanoid, but also other games, then you might consider the spinner offered by Groovy Game Gear.

And if you want a real Arkanoid spinner, but don't want do drop that much cash, used ones go for less on ebay (when they come up).
