Title: Flush mounting a Imperial Trackball
Post by: ZaneMn on February 28, 2003, 02:45:01 pm
A little help if you will.  I know this has been covered somewhere but I can't readily find it.  I have a 3" Imperial trackball with mounting plate.  I know I could mount the plate on top of my control panel but I want a smoother looking solution.  I was looking to flushmount it so the mounting plate and carridge bolts are under the pelxi.

So I know that I have to route the depth of the plate out on top of the control panel.  How do I hide the bolts?  countersink into the metal plate and use diffrent bolts (other than carridge bolts)?  Would it be strong enough?

Also what bit do I use on the router to carve out the space for the mounting plate and a good place to get it?

Thank you in advance...
