Title: What is a softmodded Xbox with only a small hard drive upgrade worth?

I got an extra xbox, with some cosmetic damage, but it works fine.  I'm going to soft mod it and put in a 25 Gig hard drive.  Any idea what this would be worth if I sold it?

FWIW, I've seen a few stock softmodded boxes go for ~$120-130 on Xbox-scene lately, so add in a few extra bucks and you should have an idea what yours is worth. 

You may be able to get more outside of X-S since that is all they do there.  Things tend to be a bit cheaper there, or at the very least, sit there for a long time until someone bites.

I agree with the $120-130 price range depending on the damage.

I have a few extra plain black xbox cases if you want to trade something for one?

Someone might want it to put in an arcade cab though.

Can you give me more info on the Xbox.  What type of drive?  What version is the motherboard?

no details yet.  Its a little older so its probably a pre 1.6.  wont know till i crack it open.

The DVD drive was replaced and they guy who did it either put one in thats too big or didn't seat it properly.  They lost the peice that attacheds to the drive tray. 

When I take it apart to upgrade the harddrive I'll take a look at it.

Hoagie, would you be interested in selling it as-is to save you the time, or are you just wanting to supe it up a bit and make more of a profit?  I just sold my xbox, and now I miss it.  I would like to have another, but don't want to pay full price for a new one.  Anyway, just let me know.

I've got a DVD drive bezel that's not in perfect condition but pretty close to it that I'd let you have for the price of shipping.  That is of course if the drive hasn't been changed to a non-xbox drive, because I doubt it will fit something else but I don't realy know so...  Yea, whatever.  :P
