I just installed 2 Happs 360's and I'm having a problem with one of them. On the one player side, up left and right work perfectly, but when I move the joystick down it does not respond. I have tested the wiring and there is nothing wrong with that. I am able to move down by using another joystick or button connected to the wire. The second player works fine, so the only thing I can think of is that it's defective.
Does anybody have any ideas? I bought both of these new from Happs.

I had a perfect 360 go bad on me too. Brand new out of the box. Double check to make sure your wiring is correct.. hook the UP connector to the bad down input on the stick and verify no response... and connect the down input to the woking up input on the stick and make sure it reads a down. Make sence?
If the tests pan out then the stick needs to go back. For the record it was my down input that was bad.

This frequent problem P360 - twist diodes. This joystick be executed fatally for 50 $ then scandal  Happ SuXX
Try to to fold back leds it to front --> to centre

I tested it by switching the up and down, and it still does not work. Looks like it must be defective. I think I kind of understand what kowal is trying to say, but I will wait to hear back from Happ before I try to disassemble this joystick. What do you think the success rate is of trying to bend back the diodes?
I really don't want to waste $50 by not being able to return it. Hopelly, Happs is good about replacing defective goods. If they aren't, does anybody know of a different site to buy a 360 from? I don't want to buy from somewhere that doesn't replace defective goods.

Make sure you test it by itself with nothing else shared on the inputs. The P360's outputs 5V on the inputs. I had to use diodes when I shared them with other controls. Take a meter and measure the voltage on the down input.
Also take a good look at the actuator and make sure there are no imperfections. You might also try reversing the actuator and see if it makes a difference. Or try swapping the actuator with the good stick

Open base P360 and straighten diodes. It's simple.

What is powering the P360?
Is it a 5v regulated power supply? Then it might be defective.
Is it a psx pad? Then that is your problem.
-
I have tried powering it with both 5v from the computer power supply and with 5v from the arcade power supply. Using either of these, the second player 360 works perfectly, but the first player down does not work. I've used a multimeter to make sure that it is the correct voltage.
Straightening diodes sounds easy enough, but won't that void my warranty with happs?

Super easy to take apart and put back together. It's really just the 4 screws, but they're long.

Yea, I took a look at it today and it looked easy enough to disassemble. I took it apart, adjusted the diodes, and put it back together. Now it works perfectly.
Thanks everybody!
