Title: Mala and Amiga emulator?
Post by: AE35 on April 22, 2006, 06:45:18 am

Here's stupid again.

I want to see if the Amiga emulator can work with Mala, but when I start a
game the winUAE box just appears(and then I can start the game from there)

What should I do to make it start up in the game itself?? :hissy:

Thanks!

Nicholas

Hi,

This is something I was planning to do down the track....  I love my old Amiga 500 then later the 1200

anyway

I did a quick search and from that I understand you need to create a config file for each game and set-up the FE (MaLa in this case) to launch winuae using the appropriate config file

Tell you what..... let's go halves in solving this problem.

If somebody can tell me how to launch a game from the command line and/or from a windows shortcut(ink).... Then I can work out how to launch from MaLa

Good Luck

The Amiga plug'n play module for AtomicFE does that.

Have a look  in config files , you should find how to run it with other Front End.

I worked it out thanks anyway Youki.

1) You have to have a separate winUAE config file for each game (no matter what FE you use)

2) You have to set the rom path in MaLa to the config files not to the roms

3) Note all other settings (see attached screenshot)

Let me know if you need more help. I'm off to play some Amiga Games

Cheers

EDIT: PS Tools are here if you have lots of game configs to make: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=52080.0 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=52080.0)

I'll have to do this someday -- thanks for the info.  (and yes, I do still have an A500 down in my basement.  Too bad that a mouse ate my mouse cord!  (no joke))
