Title: Gameboy advance game changer (like a "CD changer") what to use it for?
Post by: Otraotaku on April 20, 2006, 07:26:41 pm
i was digging in my closet and found a couple of these old gameboy changers, you can add 3 games onto your gameboy slot and switch them by a switch on the side. now i dont have an SP anymore so what could i use them for?

i havent taken apart either yet...

aww too late...  ;D

well i took one of them apart, made it small enough to fit a DS, shoved the thing in hoping it could read Gameboy games right off it.  of course not, but it was worth the try.

Is there any possible hack to get DS to play GB/CBcolor games?

Highly unlikely  :P I imagine it's an "issue" with z80 emulation that makes the GBC/GB not work.

well i noticed that the DS is really screwy when it has a GBA game loaded, and if you remove the cart it will even crash at the main interface, so you cant reallyload a Game in first then swap for an older one anyway. thats the only reason i even took it apart to see if i could quick swap em...

so what else could i use the thing for? no GBA to PC links? i mean its 3 sllots hooked to one cart, think man!

So when you hit the button or what ever it is to switch from cart to cart the DS just bugs out? Sorry if I'm being slow.

I think I might buy one of those to play with. Goldenshop.com.hk has them for 10 bucks a pop.
I wonder if they are stackable. Like can I  choose from 5 games if I put 2 together.

wow, im sure you could do that... something like that would go awesome with a Gameboy player for gamecube. of course with a little custom finish chassis ^.<

What a ridiculous product. What's the point of attaching a brick to the bottom of your GBA, making it twice the normal size, when you could just stick the other two games in your pocket? I mean is anyone seriously lazy enough to actually purchase something that will save you all that effort that it takes to pull out one cart and stick in another one? No wonder these things sell for $10.

their target market is for hardcore gamers that have deformed fingers from playing to long.
