Hey guys,
what are we liking for video cards with component out? I want a video card powerful enough to run any fairly recent mame games, n64, and snes/etc. Any ideas? Going into a 27" RCA

You're better off getting a normal video card and picking up an adaptor like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814999203 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814999203).

Oh are the ones with component out not very good?

The quality will be MUCH better with an adapter like the one escher mentioned.
But this is a DVI-I to Component HDTV Adapter.
Meaning your video card has to have DVI-I output ....
and your TV has to have RGB input.
So look at your TV first. (if it's one you already have)
Then look at the video cards that are out there. ;)

I am using a ATI Radeon 9550 (made by MSI) with a DVI to Component adapter
into a 27" TV (JVC AV-27530) that has comonent video inputs. I am quite happy with the results.
If you are getting an ATI card, get a 9550 or better. I have read everywhere that these DVI to component adapters will not work on anything less than a Radeon 9500 series. If you go with NVidia, get at least a GeForce 6600 series or better.
