Title: help me find this....lit light switch for my gameroom (pic inside)
Post by: 2PacMan on April 20, 2006, 10:18:50 am
I am trying to find a translucent lit red light switch that i can replace my standard white light switch with in my gameroom.  I have seen these in warehouses and other industrial type places, but i can't locate one anywhere around here.  Searches on the internet are fruitless.  Basically, it looks just like a standard wall switch, only it's translucent red with an LED light inside of it instead of just plain white color.  And it lights when it is off to help find the switch in the dark.  Here's a pic of sort of what i'm looking for.

Better yet, why not replace it with a translucent pushbutton? You can get switches to replace the standard micro switch that are lock on/off. Get a blank switch panel and drill it out to the correct size for the button (you won't even have to mess with your wall at all). The only problem could be getting a switch that can handle the wattage.

If you are really set on that the normal switch though, I can't honestly say I know where to get them.

I think Home Depot sells them, however they are dimmer switches, which really shouldn't matter.
