Title: Any MAME Hacks for a New $20 300MHZ Windows CE Machine?
Post by: mark shaker on April 19, 2006, 12:06:15 pm
Is there any MAME-type-fun to be had with this $20 "thin client" computer?

The link to the item at surpluscomputers is dead. Either they are sold out, or the price was a typo. I ordered one while it was available, now lets see if I get it!

Here is the description:

MaxTerm 5200S:
   Processor: 300 MHz Geode GX1 (X86 Architecture)
   Operating System:  Microsoft Windows CE
Memory: 64 MB SDRAM + 32 MB Flash
   With Network Card
   With Sound Card

I've seen MAMECE3, but it does not seem to support this processor.

Build from source for the specific target.  Most machines using winCE today have ARM processors.  A windows desktop build -might- work, depending on the build options and other factors.

Thanks!

If I recieve it, and if I can get it to do anything fun: I'll post my results.
