Title: Are Raine games emulated in Mame?
Post by: unclet on April 18, 2006, 01:57:15 pm
Does the Raine emulator emulate the same type of games as Mame?   What does the Raine emulator do that Mame does not?

Thanks for the link....  it seems Raine emulates a lot of the games Mame does and might emulate them a bit better.....

Now, is there a list of games which Raine supports that Mame does not.

From what I understand (and I could be wrong here) Raine emulates less but has less overhead - i.e. you don't need as much CPU power to run at full speed, good for old hardward.  In this respect Mame goes for quantity.  Also I think people can argue that Mame is really to document while Raine was built to play the games.  I hope I don't start anything with that comment, it's just been my observation from reading posts....
