Hello,
I know this is covered somewhere, but I am not finding it...Im running MameWah 1.62b10 and for some reason my AVI screen saver stopped working (just goes to black screen.) Anyway, I am looking for an option to replace it but have never done anything other than video screen saver. What is the option to run a random game (perferable with no sound!) for a screen saver, or better yet, what are my options for screen savers? Thanks!

In your emuname.ini file, set 'select_random_game 1' - this tells Mamewah to pick a random game when the saver kicks in,
Next, set 'saver_type saver_commandline',
Finally set 'saver_commandline' to something appropriate to launch a game *
* generally the same as your emulator_commandline, perhaps with ' -nosound' on the end for MAME at least.

Just looked into this...the video screensaver seems to work OK for me. Check the screensaver form is setup ok in the Layout Designer, and also check the mamewah.log file for any clues as to why the video's aren't playing.

Well nothing that I know has changed on my system except i installed Daemon tools (just uninstalled). Anyway, the screensaver section reads:
### Screen-Saver Settings ###
enable_music_in_screensaver 0
select_random_game 0
saver_type movie
movie_path c:\mamewah\Movies\SS
movie_fullscreen 1
quit_delay 30
saver_commandline
and there is one avi in that directory...

Ok...the SS file was actually an mpg file (MPEG2) and was using my nVidia DVD Decoder to play. Used to work fine, not sure what happened. Anway I converted the file to Divx this evening and now my video screensaver works again! My original mpg SS still plays fine in WMP by the way, so im not sure why Mamewah chokes on it, but none-the-less, Im back up with a video SS so I am happy...thanks minwah!
