What do you guys think of the new bartop kit at mameroom.com, its a good looking setup but I think its priced $50.00 to much, just wandering what other peoples ideas were

If they where only 50 bucks they would be an amazing deal. But they show as 190 or something for the ready to assemble ones.
Or is there another way to get them?
I think they look pretty good myself. Mameroom always builds very very well. A bit pricey, but the quality to make them worth it. I've never heard anyone really complain about them.
There are some free designs out there that are also very nice looking. But you will have to do a lot more work.
So how much is a weekend worth to you? Raw materials on one is probably 50-75 bucks with the wood, tmolding ect. So if you can build one in a few hours (I cant) it wouldn't be worth it.
But if you CAN get them for 50 bucks, let me know!

Amount: $199.99 USD
Shipping & Handling: $30.00 USD
Total Amount: $229.99 USD
$200 + $30 s/h seems a little steep to me (although most bartop kits seem steep to me). But yea, if I was in the market for one of these, I'd probably opt for Tahnok's tables (http://www.tablearcades.com/) at $160+ shipping instead of this one for $200

I think its an ideal set up for some people. No power tools and limited space? Then this thing is great for you.

btw, does the bartop come with a monitor bezel? or have a slot for smoked plexi or anything?
Also, what size monitors / tv's can fit? and do you know any that are cheap, look good and it was fit around?
I have a 14" touchscreen I was going to use for a counter top, but when modifying my plans for the monitor, and looking at building it, it ended up not fitting on my desk (which is a bad thing). So I'm looking for another solution.
Also, after that, how much space is left inside? enought for a uncased computer/power supply? or will a cased one fit?

The bartop kit comes with a clear lucite bezel. You will need to mask off your screen area and paint the back of the lucite to create a bezel customized to your display. This is covered in the assembly manual:
http://www.mameroom.com/manuals/UABartop_manual.pdf
Most 15" CRTs will fit in the cabinet, but you will need to uncase the PC components and stick them where ever they will fit the best. To keep the size of the cabinet relatively compact, there isn't much room left inside of the cabinet.

Hi, just wanted to say that I am insterested in your product and was tyrying the link above with the $100 rebate and it was not working. Is the offer still active? If so I am doing something wrong? Please let me know Thanks.

That post is over 2 months old, so the deal is likely over.
