Title: Connecting Mame to my Supergun
Post by: smac666 on February 27, 2003, 11:54:38 am
A question I have been pondering for a couple of days now.

I am building a home made supergun and some arcade sticks. I will be using some D15 connectors to connect the sticks to the supergun.

I am also considering buying a Cabinet to convert to a Mame system once the supergun is finished. Unfortunately that is a little large for my present accomodation. So I was thinking if it would be possible to connect my PC via a J-Pac to the Supergun. That way I'll get to use my arcade sticks and large TV.

I can't see a problem with the controller but the video I'm a bit dubious about.

Anyone got any thoughts on this or has someone tried it already and destroyed a perfectly good TV!!!! :'(

J-Pac will work fine if your Supergun is wired for Jamma. As for the video, don't run that through the supergun, either take it over to your computer monitor (I presume you're not going to attach it to the floor or something), or get a video card with TV-out.

Thanks,

I got an e-mail from Andy at Ultimarc last night and he virtually said the same thing.

I do have a TV out on my video card.

Sweet.
