Hey man, that rocks!   A true case of rip it out and start again!

One question, do you have any problem with spilt drinks on your LARGE touchscreen?   :notworthy:

No drinks spilled yet, I remind people that it would be hell to pay if it gets damaged. Usually most people are scrared to use it cause it looks so badass.

Its unbelieveable, to say the least. I showed my wife the pix and the boss has spoken, I have to scrap my current design and do something similar.
That's it, I gotta stop showing her all the kewl stuff I find. Good job on that juke, I'm sure everyone that sees it is equally impressed as we all are!

The drinks thing scares me too.

But I'm wondering if I just need to bite the bullet and get a real touchscreen.

These little ebay ones are tinking me off.

Just Found your post

Amazing Effort....

Truly impressive and a nice way to retrofit an obsolete piece of furniture...

Not the sort of thing that I would go for in my house with all that wood, but one question, how are you turning the thing on and off?

I always thought it would be cool if you had something like that to have it so that it was like a laptop, close the cover, and it hibenates or suspends, except that when you open it, it comes back to life.

I used a brass doorbell for a power button to turn it on and off. When its not in use it will turn off the monitor and touching the monitor will bring it back to life. The lid suspend is a good idea, ill have to look into some mercury switches or something similar to accomplish that.

Very nice!

How does it sound with your current speaker system?

I ask because I am currently trying to think of how I want to add speakers to my Jukebox.

Very nice.......
I have a few of those older console cabinets I'd like to do something with one of these days.
Always good to see new life brought to a classy cabinet like yours.

That is sweet. My grandma has that EXACT record player console.

I smell a future project.
