Finally got mine working again.
Does it have a sound card? It has a headphone jack, but best I can tell it's just routing audio in from the big connector to the headphone jack.
*edit* Well I found that it does have some sort of sound since it's listed in the device manager. Where is the connection?
Thanks

You suck.
/me grumbles cuz his is sitting in the basement powering up but not displaying any picture.
Ahem, yep, they got soundcards usually on the outside of the casing, looks like a headphone jack.
-
Yeah, but that headphone jack just plugs into the barrel connector. I can't see where a sound connection GOES to the barrel connector.

I'll have to look at mine when I get home. If i recall that barrel connector is sort of a hub type device, you plug into it, and the wires from it break off to different parts inside.

Yes. I removed that barrel connector completely on one of mine. I have the other still connected for reference until I kabosh that one too.
The cable supplied to me was barrel connector on one end, parallel on other end ::)
The headphone jack on the on that still is intact goes to the barrel connector only, not to the motherboard at all.

when somebody figures out the audio, let me know too, as i havent found it either. Mine has been set up as an in-wall internet station, and TV (using an external amp off the cable box) for about 6 months or so.
-
Oh damn. if you haven't found it. Who will? ;D You're the only one actually USING the thing!

Found it! Took the whole damn thing apart, figured it has to be one of those wires coming from under the motherboard.
I have 3 "svideo" type connectors. One was power, one is card reader, other one is sound.
It has red, black, and ground.
Just held the bare wires onto a plug and sure enough, got some sound!

I also disconnected power from the two noisy ass fans on the side. With the back cover removed, it's been OK for about an hour now.
I'm mounting this in a partition wall, with open space behind it, so I'll have lots of cooling.

I don't know how worthwhile they are for me. I have 2. But right now I can't run freebox, and SK jukebox doesn't really work that well with it.
Do you have any better ideas?

Well Salmonking told me to click Keypad. So I'm going to test that with the kids tomorrow.

You might want to check with Dek Dek from KLOV. I think his id here is ust Dek. He got his from the same source mine came from which has an audio port that works along with a power brick that requires no hacking. He was looking to sell his last I had heard.
