AWESOME! I love Metal Gear (although this seems like a clone)...it's still really good though.

The direct link to download the .SWF (flash file) here:

I've never done this, but I guess you could feasibly run this game through a FE somehow.

Has anyone found a way to continue the game after you lose all your lives?  It seems you only get one credit, and the object of the game is to score as high as possible with your limited amount of lives.  :-\

Firefox has a plugin called 'Download embedded' you can download flash files from a page and play them later. You can either use a browser or you can use this free flash movie player.

BTW you'll need the shockwave flash player installed as well.

BTW Here is a website of interesting flash games which can be downloaded and played later

So, how could you add these games to a list in a FE?

Mind you, if I included games like this "New Metal Gear", I'd like to have the Flash element be transparent, ie: the user NOT aware that it's a flash game. Could it list like a regular Mame Rom or something, and lanch 'fullscreen' with the flash player you linked too?

Wow, that's fun.
Wish you could remap the keys.

You can!   In the intro screen, hit the bottom button, then just hit the key you want for the first button and so on, the selection bar will automatically move down the screen.

On the keymap screen, the right button resets to default, the left button is "OK"

I associated the flash player with the files .swf so when they are opened it automatically opens flash player.

The flash player in the link I provided has a full screen mode which is accessed by alt+enter or by changing fullscreen option in the fmp.ini file from 0 to 1, also I made the file read only so it can't be altered upon closing. Opening a game therefore from a file and not through the flash player means you have a fullscreen game without the flash player logo.

All I have to do is figure a way to close it without coming out of fullscreen.
