Title: Monitor hook-up

Do I need to discharge a monitor to connect it to or disconnect it from the power source??

what do you want to do?,the only time you need to discharge a tube is when you are changing a chassis or need to remove it for service reasons i.e changing componants

Thats what I wanted to make sure.  I wanted to get an arcade monitor to test two PCBs that I have.  I have been reading as much as I can on the fourms about it.  I wanted to make sure I could just buy a moniotr and hook it up to the power supply and be done.
