Title: Burn-in or cap-kit repairable?

I have a Wells-Gardner 19K4901 model # monitor on a Klax machine that is having some issues.  To me, it looks like burn-in... but I want to ask some people that have a bit more expertise with this kind of thing.  I have attached photos.

Main question is: Can the bars on the left hand side be fixed with a cap kit or in some other fashion?  You notice that the white still bleeds through, so I really don't know what the issue is.  Also note that the bars line up exactly with the left hand player tile columns when playing with 2 players.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That doesn't look like burn, but definitely a cap issue.

Replace cap C702, see how that treats you.

Yeah, that's it.  If you're going to get the whole kit, do the whole thing.

Yes, it looks like that monitor needs a capkit.

Ordered the capkit, should be here soon.  I will post pics of the finished product.  (or, more likely, more questions about what I screwed up and how to get it working again :)

Remember that the 4900 series is well known for many bad solder joints, particularly around the outer perimeter of the main board. So it's a good idea while you're doing the kit to inspect for and resolder any bad joints found.

Thanks for the info... getting the kit in tonight, I'll be sure to take a peek around the permiter first before going to town on it.

Got the cap kit installed today, and, wow, what a difference.  The bars on the left side are totally gone, and most of the other little things have cleared up.

We didn't replace C373 because we were worried about messing up the resistor that shares those holes on the board.  It didn't seem to make too much of a difference.

Thanks to Peale and Ken who helped me in the diagnosis, you were spot on!
