:applaud: nice and clean ... good job..
are the 2 cab indentical ??? ...
-
Yes. The two cabs are both generic KIS cabinets, which were popular to use for fighting games in the 90's, since they were pretty cheap, and were easy to service and change games in. ^_^

You do realize Red Earth is a very rare game, right? Where'd you find it?
-
looks good at usual. You have what like 10 cabinets now >:D

only the US version is considered "Rare" the Japanese version and to a lesser extent the Asian version can be found quite easily if your prepared to take the risk of getting a dead cart, most of the Warzards are getting rather old now
theres a US one on eBay right now that I had resisited buying, getting harder tho, I always said I would buy another Wazard/Red Earth if it was on a D cart and not an "A" cart and the seller (who sold a SF3.3 US Version for $400 with new battery ) has dropped $400 off of his asking price
must. . . stop. . . . buying. . . .
btw - motorfish - nice cabs - kudos for owning one of Capcom's unsung heroes ! :notworthy:
I am actually a little envious

ya buddy thats looks good. More fighting games the better

Yes sir! That's why I decided to give Red Earth a cabinet on it's own. I picked it up about five years or so off of Ebay. The seller misspelled the auction, and this was before Ebay did auto correcting for searches, so nobody but me was watching the auction.

Thanks! Yes, you are correct. Red Earth is much more rare than the Japanese Warzard boards. I got pretty lucky aquiring this one for about $200.00, and I just replaced the suicide battery about a month ago, so this board should be ready to rock for another six years or so. ^_^

About half that now! Hee hee! ^_^

If I was to build another fighter cab, it would be a Street Fighter Zero 3 Upper NAOMI machine. It turns out that the Alpha Anthology coming out for the PS2 won't have the extra characters that appeared in the Upper edition.
-
seriously dude, you dont. SFZero 3 and SF3.3 are my 2 all time favourite games and I am also a bit of a Naomi fanboy aswell, Naomi SFZ3 Upper not only look like ass, but plays like ass when compared to the CPS2 version.
if its the extra characters your after, you would be better of grabbing a Dreamcast, and a copy of the PAL version of SFA3 Upper or a backup of the US version of SFA3 that has been patched with the RGB fix.
UK Pal Dreamcast SFA3 > Naomi SFZ3 - but if you can live with awfully jaggy sprits then go Naomi, but IMVHO as a SF and Naomi fan in general, i'd go for the DC version with either the RGB fix or the RGB compatible PAL version
-
Interesting. Tell me more about this RGB fix for SFA3 Dreamcast. ^_^
-
http://www.megagames.com/dc/dc_patches_s.shtml
you would need an image of SFA3 on your PC HDD, so you can add the patch to the image, then whe you burn the SFA3 back to a 80 min CD-R the game will ONLY WORK in RGB mode (for us UK folks, RGB Scarrt)
you would also need to have the Utopia bootdisc as SFA3 isn't selfbooing, same applies if you have a PAL SFA3, boot with boodisc, then insert SFA3 disc
-
Awesome job, that looks so cool.

Good news! I just taked to the Penny Arcade guys, and this cabinet will be at the PAX expo in August, set to Free Play. ^_^
So, here's your chance to try out one of Capcom's rarest games in a semi-arcade environment. ^_^
Hope to see you guys there.
