I got my xbox modded and ready to play. I'm a first time modder and I cant figure out how to stream media through Xboxmedia center. I can ftp into it, I can drag and drop into it, I can move files and chage settings, but I dont know what i have to do to set up media streaming.
Any help?

Answers are all here (http://www.xboxmediaplayer.de/cgi-bin/forums/ikonboard.pl?s=14c5d78c46eb5c7dfb8cd67b10e01887;act=ST;f=8;t=361)
XBMC looks for SAMBA shares. Read from the link above for answers on how to do it.

There are easier ways to do such as running one of the xbox streaming software apps. It basically sets up the samba share for you and you have a nice GUI on the PC side to manage it. Can't think of the name at the moment, but if it comes to me I'll PM you or reply again.

Samba is the best way to do it. I would avoid the stream servers, personally, except as a last resort if you can't get Samba to work. Samba is really easy. I can send you a copy of my xboxmediacenter.xml file and a brief description about how to set up a Samba share on your computer. The description necessarily has to be brief because setting up a Samba share takes about 15 seconds. It seriously couldn't be easier. Anyway, the file should give you a pretty good idea about how to point Xbox Media Center to the correct folders (Samba share) on your PC hard drive.
If you want this PM me your email address.

I'll 2nd this too. Even more for your music and picture collection and such, working with Samba means you can use your media with PCs as well as with the Xbox.
