I'm looking for a FE for a Vertical machine. I want to hide the OS as much as possible. I.E. boot directly into the FE.
Any suggestions. I can't believe MAMEWAH doesn't support vertical orientation.

For my vertical cocktail setup, MaLa rocks my world ;D

AtomicFe does that too. And it rocks too! ;)

I am looking for the same thing and am about to give AtomicFE a try. I will also try Mala.
Are there many layouts that have been designed for vertical cocktails on Atomic FE?. I have not been able to find any myself but I will have another look. I will see how easy it is to design your own layouts. I am looking for something with a classic arcade feel using marquues as the buttons with characters from the classic games such as Pacman, Galaga, Frogger, Mr Do, Donkey Kong, BombJack etc. Is is easy to design your own layouts?.

Does Mala support the LEDWIZ?

Mala supports LEDs thru the "MaLa Hardware".
See the wiki (http://wiki.arcadecontrols.com/wiki/MaLa) for details.

That's what I thought....
I was just hoping ;D

Another vote for MaLa. Here is a screenshot of my "tweaked" version:

Few "pure" vertical layout are online (there is "vertical' in the name). But all layout can be used as vertical. The FE rotate it for you.
The current layout editor for AtomicFE is not good. I'm busy writing a new one infinitly better.

Thanks,
I look forward to the new layout editor coming out.

Very Nice!
I use the classic 'GameLancher' layout on MaLa

That's a good one. I used the actual Gamelauncher for a while before I discovered MaLa.
I tweaked mine in that I:
-> Made the control panel on MaLa look like my actual control panels (8way stick, 2 yellow "move" buttons & 3 "action" buttons -- red, green, blue)
-> Moved the screenshot (snap) into the empty green space, and enlarge
-> Add the screenshot (title) where the snap was
-> Use the controls.ini file to show what each button does. This is displayed in the color-coded "lights" above the buttons themselves.

...So did I. Having this layout saved me re-training my little kids. Besides I like it simple.
