SO on one of my stops today by the local saint vincent depauls, i came across this in the technology section.....
I'm pretty excited cause i ended up getting it for free from someone who works there. ITs a leaf switch style "WICO Command Control" for the Atari and some other systems. It came w/ the orginal box, instruction booklet, and even the recipt for when it was purchased! I opened up and it can easily be adapted to be used for a cab. I also read that the top fire handle can be used w/ an authentic wico base.
I'm kinda unsure about what I will do w/ it though. Although it would be a great addition to my cab in progress if i could find a way to properly mount it, i wouldn't want to mutilate something that may have nostigic value to somebody. Maybe if its worth sometbing to somebody becasue of the topfire button, a trade might be able to be made?
I don't know, whats your guy's input on it?

I prefer the ball top model for arcade cabinet use, but that's just because I like the "authenticity" of a ball top. A bat top probably would be easier ot handle.
The problem with adapting it for an arcade base will be grinding/shaving away some of the metal shaft. Next problem is that if you want to keep the original button mechanism, you'll have to find a way to mount the leafswitch.
Read all about it here: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=20914.0

put an atari port on your cabinet and use it for whatever you want. (http://wiki.arcadecontrols.com/wiki/Atari_Controller_Interfaces)

well then, i think i'm going to wire up an atari connector and try the stick out w/ the leafs that it has now. if i like it, i'll probaly end up trying to find a way to mount to my control panel. plus the red and white will match my current cp color scheme. i'll post the results when it happens.
