Nope not found a source for those. I am considering one of these

Automotive finish with clear coat

of course the only way to get these beauties is as a complete DC and they come with a matching controller for $75

Unfortunately, I'd have to pay triple shipping as I live outside the US.  :o :o :o

Yeah, I noticed that Lik-Sang used to sell them. But in my experience once Lik-Sang lists an item as being "out of stock" they rarely start selling it again.

The annoying thing is that the Ebay seller is obviously charging disproportionately high shipping to avoid Ebay fees. I don't have a problem with that per se as I see it as Ebay's responsibility to tighten up the rules if they don't like sellers doing this. But the seller should come up with a more reasonable international shipping rate if he's serious about selling abroad.

I think the idea is to "bid accordingly" if you wanna pay say $30 and the shipping is $15 only bid $15.

Incidentally, $12.50 is not a bad deal. According to FedEx's site "International Economy" 2-5 working days is $39.60 for a 1lb package from the US.

indeed, make sure you use a penetrating vinyl dye, means the colours actually enter the plastic.

as always though YMMV some plastics are notorious for rejecting all forms of paint, SOAPboy, what type did you use?

This eBay Seller (http://cgi.ebay.com/Custom-Modded-Dreamcast-Case_W0QQitemZ8274125582QQcategoryZ62054QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) sells some custom painted empty DC shells. I sent him a message and he also does custom LED work, windows, etc...

Hope it helps,

That looks awesome. Which colour out of blue and green do you think looks best?

I think the blue and green both look great. I have the yellow one for my overclocked DC

The yellow appears to be more translucent likely because of the light nature of the color. I do like the green over the blue though.

I used uber cheap baby blue spray paint.. with (forget the brand) expensive clearcoat.. i couldnt find the blue i wanted in good paint so i said screw it..

i also used about 6 coats of clearcoat on the controller as they get handled alot, it took 2 years or so to have 1 spot rub off on the bottom of the controller..

As far as the system itself, 1 or 2 coats of clearcoat is fine, you dont handle your systems extensivly, so its not going to rub off.. its almost a waste to go balls out on the system itself.. :)

Just pop your logos out, sand well, and goto town on it.. last layer of clearcoat about 15 min after spraying while its still kinda wet toss the logos back on.. should be good to go

Did you get that from the auction you listed in the fourth reply?  Reason I ask is because I had asked the guy if the shell for the modem was included and I got no for an answer but it appears as though your's does...
