Title: IPAC wiring
Post by: SlammedNiss on March 27, 2006, 06:53:08 pm
Trying to finish out wiring my IPAC right now. I have 6 buttons/player. How are these buttons usually numbered? 1-3 on the top, and 4-6 on the bottom? Or, 1,3,5 on top, and 2,4,6 on bottom?

TIA

SlikStiks are numbered like this

  123
  456
 7

For games like Street Fighter, you would have to remap the keys if you used a different layout.

I don't know if there is a standard or not but I too have 6 buttons per player and went 123 on top,456 on bottom row simply because the majority of games only use a few buttons anyway and just seemed more natural for me to go left and right when punching the buttons that you use the most as opposed to up and down.Probably whatever feels more natural to you is your answer.

I am going 123 bottom.  Just feels right to me.  The beaty of the ipac series is that you can remap all the buttons in a matter of minutes...
