Title: Question about line filters.
Post by: Witchboard on March 26, 2006, 05:00:41 pm
I'm trying to decide whether I need a line filter or not on a current project.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't arcade switching power supplies have a line filter built in?  Is putting a line filter in a cabinet just benefit the monitor?

They're $3.00 or so.  Just get one, you'll be glad you did.

Are they readily available someplace like RadioShack?  I know you can get them from Bob Roberts, but I rarely think about ordering one a week ahead of the time I want to install the cab electronics.

It was more of a technical question.  I know they are inexpensive and readily available.

If you are using a powerbar as your main AC source, then it probably has a filter in it already.
