Title: Where to buy Silver knobs?
Post by: rohan on March 26, 2006, 12:25:38 am: I need 1 spinner knob for my Six-Pac http://arcadeflyers.net/?page=flyerdb&subpage=flyer&id=2477&image=1
It needs to be silver/chrome with a 1/4 inch shaft opening and knurled edges. It also needs to be between 1.5 and 2 inches. I tried Radio Shack, but all they had were too small. Any ideas?

There's gotta be a vendor that sellls this for a little cheaper than SlikStik...Their quality is unmatched, but I really don't want to spend on one knob what I spent on the entire game ($24 on eBay).

Reminds me when the customer complained about our genuine GM parts prices...he said Auto Zone had the part for 1/2 the price of ours...but it didn't fit, so now he has to buy ours. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

Course you seem to be getting one free so I guess that does not apply here ;D

Can you post some pics of the finished product when its done?

Keep an eye out for old equipment at garage sales and such. I found three for free at one time.

Post by: rohan on March 28, 2006, 06:52:09 pm: I find that that they get that diameter measurement by including the size of the skirt...This makes them actually about .25 inches smaller than their advertised size...Also, beside Tempest, I'm not sure many spinner games had a skirt on their knobs.

ain't that the truth! I'm from that area...I fully believe it was the inspiration behind the song "Dude looks like a lady" :laugh2:!
