Title: Newbie Help {DOT Spinner Question}
Post by: newbiejoey on March 25, 2006, 02:26:24 pm
Hi, great site you guys have here cant wait to start my project. I have a quick question what sort of microswitch is used in the DOT spinner? I did a search and for some photos of an oscar controlls replica of the DOT spinner but compairing photos of the original DOT and the oscar one they look like they use different leaf microswitchs? Can i still buy these (either one original DOT style or oscar version?) I cant find them anywhere on the web.

thanks for your help.

They don't use microswitches at all..... they're all leaf swiches...

Yes you can still buy leaf switches... the standard button leaf switches would do the job, but you might have to modify them a little bit yourself to fit.

Check the vendors page on the BYOAC Wiki:

http://wiki.arcadecontrols.com/wiki/Vendors

Bob Roberts and Centsible are two vendors that come to mind that sell leaf switches.

Cheers.
