That's not contact paper...that's black paint with marble texture on top!

The picture of the Centipede cabaret on KLOV doesn't have sideart either.

It's not supposed to have side-art. It's supposed to be a brown wood-grain. To "restore" something means to return it to its original, (and preferably like new) state.

There's also something odd about the screen shots. Like one of the 3 colors is missing.

"Fully restored and ready to be a part of your gameroom!
Working and in like new and good collectable condition.
This is a museuem piece!!"

Good Grief!  The sad thing is that there are people who don't know any better.   :banghead:    :'(

The claim restored, in my opinion, is flexible enough to include restored to working condition rather than 100% original mint condition.  Lots of things you don't want to be original anyway.  I don't know that the aluminum volcanos were ever on a centipede (highly doubt it) but I'd rather have those than originals anyway.

In any case .. cut the guy some slack.

If this forum weren't so confrontational, maybe there would be more people on here.  I think it's fun to make jokes about people who aren't as knowledgable in private, but publically humiliating newcomers is really a lame and stupid idiodic thing to do, especially for experienced members of the forum who are expected to set a good example.

The example I see is "bash the new guy for not knowing something."

So how 'bout this .. all youz old school BYOAC people .. why not lose the insecurity of worrying that someone might think you don't know something by pointing out everything you know at the expense of other people's feelings?

yeah, but the guy wants 1300 for it, that is why he is getting made fun of, it is a rip off.

Fair enough.  I certainly wouldn't pay that for it.  I should have looked closer, but I was just real quick to jump the soap box about bashing people.  I have a reputation to uphold for flying off the handle and saying a bunch of bs so I can delete it all later.

1300 is a fair price for the consumer "non BYOAC" market.

do you really think so, i doubt anyone would pay that much for an ugly centipede cabaret.

Sure I do. All you need is a buyer. We sell dart boards, well used, for 800$ where I work. 1100$ for a clean, working caberet Centipede is not beyond the pale.

Remember, BYOACers and collectors are not the only ones dropping cash on vintage videos.
