I'm not 100% sure for that machine, but for most, you Will find a potentiometer on the near the main circuit board, it will look something like the one below. rotating the post counter-clockwise should decrease the volume.
Good Luck!...if you don't have one of those, I might suggest searching this forum and google.

In Puzzle Bobble, I think the volume is set in the Sound Test menu (hit the Test button and select Sound Test from the menu).
I'm not 100% on this and don't have a manual handy, but it is a reasonable place to start.
Cheers.

I was assuming original TAITO hardware (although I just checked KLOV and it says MVS only ... am I losing my mind ?? Wasn't this released on a TAITO board ?).
grayxx: If it is a NG cabinet, go to hardmvs.com, find the manual for your board and locate the volume control.
Cheers.

You think YOU'RE mixed up ? It is your machine, how can we tell you what you have ? I am wondering how you know this is a JAMMA cabinet, but aren't sure what is inside. The MVS 1 slot boards were all JAMMA, so there isn't a big disconnect there (could be a bonus if it were true).
Open up the cabinet and take some pictures of what is inside (e.g. the game board) so we can advise you better. Because you did not mention NeoGeo, I initially guessed that you had dedicated TAITO hardware and last night found a Puzzle Bobble 2 manual that apparently matches my intial recommendation (so KLOV may well be wrong).
Much of the time, the test switch is located just inside the coin door.
Crack 'er open and post some pics .. at this point I am rather curious to see what is in there.
Cheers.
