Title: Anyone tried PC Auto Mag gun with MAME?
Post by: Chris on February 23, 2003, 12:27:24 am
Has anyone tried the PC Auto Mag lightgun with MAME?  If it uses a different shot detection method from the Act-Labs gun, I thought one of each gun might be a solution for two-player gun games....

PC automag sucks by itself. It doesn't work very well with the 2 games it comes with. It wouldn't calibrate for me in mame.

Search the archive here the 2 gun theory has been beat to death. I believe it was u_rebel scum that tested the pc auto mag and the acct labs together with no success.

*cough* it was me who tested it... FWIW.  Chris, I'll give you mine (less the two games it comes with) for the cost of shipping...

It worked OK by itself (more of an "eh" *shrug* than anything else) but was not the 2 gun panacea I thought it maybe coulda been.

here's the thread (http://www.arcadecontrols.org/yabbse/index.php?board=1;action=display;threadid=3957;start=0)

Hmm... I wonder why that thread didn't come up in my search...

I think I'll just have to be patient and wait for a dual USB gun driver from ActLabs.  Thanks for the offer, though, Rampy!
