I have just acquired a gunbuster game, but both monitors do not work. What would be the best monitor to replace those with? As far as I know they are 25" Hantarex Polo monitors.

whats the problem with your monitors, maybe they could be repaired.

One is arching between the wire going to the suction cup and (it looks like some kind of shield) that is part of the component it goes to. The other turns on, lights up, but there is no picture.
Thanks for your help.

right your first one is a hole in the lopti(thats the componant the cup goes to)which is arcing to ground, sometimes you can fix that by putting some araldite in the hole otherwise its a new lopti(about 20-30 pounds cost),your other sounds like its running so first you need to prove wether its a monitor, board or power supply issue, quickest way to do this is-look at your lopti you will find two adjustment pots one is focus, one is screen volts(brightness) turn up the screen volts to see if you get a white raster(screen),if so you are missing rgb input which is either the psu or game board then check your voltages on your psu,if you get no white raster then look for dry joints or broken track on the monitor board, most likely on the lopti and the load resistors.hope this helps, good luck
