Title: Trackball Booster
Post by: Fozzy The Bear on March 11, 2006, 08:34:19 pm
Hi Guys....

For anybody who owns a Betson Imperial Trackball I strongly recommend that you go take a look at the Trackball Booster kit over at GGG http://groovygamegear.com  Mine arrived this morning and I fitted it in a few mins.

The difference that the new encoder wheels make is absolutely astounding. Better control, higher resolution, tracking from one side of the screen to the other, on a single spin.....  Just a great improvement all round.

Best Regards,
Julian (Fozzy the Bear)

Yes.. I just noticed that...  ::) No doubt he'll be getting more stock in at some point though.  I could have sworn he had at least five available when I ordered a few days ago.

Just noticed that Randy is now back in stock on these booster kits guys!!

Go grab em while he's got em.... They make an amazing difference to 3" Betson Trackballs.

I just installed a pair on one, so I can confirm they mount just fine.  Haven't actually used it yet, though.  Stay tuned.

I somehow missed this the first time, but I want to thank you for this post.  I had mine delivered several months ago, and just never got around to installing them.  I will be doing this tomorrow now.  It'll be a good kick in the pants to resume the finishing touches on the cabinet (as if there is such a thing).

Thanks Kremmit... Looking forward to it. Golden Tee (PC) needs a boost...  :)

Yeah, about that....

I just installed a set to test them and it turns out the sheetmetal house overcooked them with the laser.  IE.  they don't work properly.   Fortunately, none of these made it out the door, and they are re-doing them now.

Looks like the trackballs and the booster kits are a couple of days off still...Sorry.

Ok, I just got done with some quickie tests of these with my Happ trackball.  I started to post the results here, but when I was done, it read like a hardware review, so I'm posting it on the Hardware Review board instead.

(If you're too lazy to go read it, I like 'em.  Buy some.)
