Okay, guys, talk me out of this or I think it's the way I'm going. If I use a Keywiz Max, is there any reason why I couldn't wire up the shaazam key as a mouse button as well? If it's only sending a shift signal and a mouse button push, I shouldn't have any weird double actions, right? (Unless, of course, I also push another button to activate a shifted input.)
Thanks!

That's the trick, right there. You can't have any buttons with shift functions used at the same time as your mouse buttons. The best way would probably be to just not have the mouse buttons used during any games at all- that way, you'd only be using them when in Windows, and when you're in Windows, you won't be using your buttons or joysticks.

This sounds like it should work fine. If you have tested it and you don't have any problems not hitting other buttons at the same time, then it seems like an innovative way to eliminate extra buttons.
Keep us posted on how well it works out for you.

Thanks for the comments! I think I'll go ahead with this. I think it's a good idea not to use the mouse buttons in-game at all, but it might not be too bad to map them for "harmless" functions. (Like add coin or something.)
