i have a palm pilot with the touch screen ripped off. My mom thought she had a screen protector on and instead ripped the touch screen off. ::)
My question is... Is there anyway to connect the Screen to a PC(serial port), Just the screen not the palm pilot. I was thinking of using the screen to display the controls for the games(if possible). Ive done a couple searches but Im not real sure what I need to be looking for.
Any help would be great.
Thanks

the palm pilot make and model would be helpful info...

sorry its a Palm M505.
Also its fine if the whole palm has to be attached, I just didnt want the palm OS interfering.
thanks again

Hello, friend just sent this thread to me. I know a lot about Palms. It is NOT possible to hook up the Palm screen to a PC and use it as the display.
Do not doubt my power. :) http://yatuc.com/y2 (http://yatuc.com/y2)

I need a new digitizer for a Palm Pilot M505/sony brand. You know where to find one?
Ive sent them for the Phillips but it wont work for mine.

FYI, there is no way to "rip" the touchscreen/digitiser off of the m505 without taking it apart. Your digitiser is probably just bad or there is gunk between case and screen registering as a tap. Try a hard reset or realigning the digitiser in Preferences.
$15 from PDAparts.com (http://www.gethightech.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=PA1332&Category_Code=DIG)
I don't have any in stock so go there. I got other digitisers though.

Yes I know Ive already taken it apart. Ive replaced one on a M515 also (the advantages of being an IT Tech).
That is a Philips, I have a sony make model so it wont work with mine.
I just hate to see a wasted Palm if I dont have to. THanks
