Title: 8 Inch DVD game thing....on ebay...any experience?

This thing seems crazy cheap.  anyone have any experience with it?  or the sellers?  tons of good feedback.  anyway, the roms are obviously bootlegs but....doesn't this seem too good to be true?  for that price? we're getting ready to drive to florida from missouri and we're looking for something to keep the kids quiet.

Gotta love the asian basin and it's complete disregard for any notion of copyright law. Even the VCD in that photo is obviously a pirate copy. :)

but do you think it's a legit piece of HARDWARE?  ;)

I mean..I myself have GREAT respect for copyright laws....but I was wondering if you think it'd actually be an almost decent toy where I could play roms of games that I own, MP3s of CDs I own, and Burned copies of DVDs I own.   :police:

Maybe the seller can provide you with a list of games it plays.  That way you can determine what emulator it is running.  The Rockman screen looks a bit funny because it has the name of the ebay seller in the screen image.  Not something you would see on a normal emulator.

I have seen a home dvd player that would play games in the past, I think they were the old 16 bit sega megadrive games, cant recall 100% tho, was a while ago at a car boot sale so I didnt want to stop and look.

At CES they showed an in car DVD player that will take GBA catridges. It could also be removed from the dock and taken other places.

it says it'll do 8bit nintendo roms.

sweet.  I like those.  My laptop will do them.  but it's for the kids

Only two of them are photoshops  ;)

But seriously, that thing looks like a major piece of hack together junk. I know people who bought these things, even after I told them it was a mistake. Their response was 'ah, it's just $100'.
Sure enough, one week later, the damn thing packs it in. Can't get refund cause he bought it at a market.
So I told him 'ah, it was just $100'.  ;D

Nobody here would EVER violate a copyright law by using illegal roms...right?   :angel:
