I've really gotten into the DC lately for the first time... just never got around to it until now. What are the top games? Over the past week I've been playing a lot of Ikaruga and Bust a Move 4.

Super Runabout, great game with good challenges(you drive a car around defusing bombs before the timer runs out). Great game if you like something different from the norm Chad.
-
I'll see if I can find that one. I'm definitely an outside the box gamer.
-
theres also some vmu games that you can download and others can be taken from the games themselves.
-
all the mentioned games are great, i just wanna mention one thing to you Chad. Even if you don't like fighters, try Power Stone or Power Stone 2... very unique games, and a ton of fun.
I also really like:
Bangai - O
Fur Fighters
Ooga Booga
Frogger 2 is decent
Samba de Amigo (if you can find the maracas)
Giga Wing 2
Zero Gunner 2
Rayman 2 (I love the DC version for some reason)
Virtua Tennis and Virtua Tennis 2k2 (doesn't matter if you don't like sports games, these are ADDICTIVE)
-
i have rayman 2 for n64 but aside from better graphics whats the diff?

Radirgy was recently released and I think it's a lot of fun if you enjoy shooters. It was previously talked about here: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=46641.0
Although I have not played it, Under Defeat looks like another great shooter and is coming out this month. http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=47784.0

wow i was totally blown away by seeing that under defeat vid. The rendering was impressive, noticed a few slowdowns, but that can be overlooked, im gonna have to look into preordering that sucker.

Don't forget
Shikigami No Shiro 2
Zero Gunner 2
Border Down
Cannon Spike (part shooter / Smash TV'ish)

I can't find shikigami no shiro 2 for the life of me, unless I pay through the nose for one. I do have castle shikigami 2 for the xbox though.

It sold at about $60 when it was first released. Unfortunately, that is the going rate for importing shooters. The ps2 version was actually released in the US for $10. You can probably find it used at a Gamestop.
They have the DC version for $70 at PA. Expensive :( http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-x-77-1-49-en-15-shikigami-70-3ez.html

Yeah... after some searching and a quote Goz found, I realize that Castle Shikigami 2 is actually the same game... that's the translation of Shikigami No Shiro 2 apparently. I knew they looked like similar games, but could never be sure they were the same heh.
I'll stick with my Xbox version instead of dishing out $70 for the DC one :)

Here's the complete list of games, if it helps:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Dreamcast_games
The Dreamcast was famous for releasing an insane amount of arcade-perfect titles (mainly thanks to the popularity of the Sega Naomi arcade system, which is essentially a Dreamcast with some extra video and main RAM). I know "Gauntlet Legends" is one game people are constantly struggling to get working at a decent speed in MAME, but exists on Dreamcast.

podracer-looks way better than n64 counterpart and even though its racing its fun
-
Tried Rez last night... this game is awesome.
-
Virtua Tennis and Virtua Tennis 2K1
How can you forget Seaman!!
-
Sega Rally2 SR:Championship
Soul Calibur
and another vote for Crazy Taxi.
-
Soul Calibur
One game which absolutely MUST be played on a large VGA monitor. Damn that game still looks tasty today, even when compared with modern titles like SC3 and Tekken5.

"Metropolis Racer" is absolutely the ultimate in street racing games for the DC.
"18 Wheeler" is fun stuff
"Ecco The Dolphin, Defender Of The Future" Just looks amazing and the gameplay is quite tough.
any of the Tomb Raider titles are cool...
Densha De Go 2... (Japanese Arcade Train Driving Simulator) Very difficult to master but great fun.
Best Regards,
Julian (Fozzy The Bear)
