The monitors are the Dotronix DSV27 with NTSC option. They have a +/- 5% tolerance on the vertical scan frequency with auto-vertical hold, 500 lines of resolution and comb-filter for very nice video through the composite. The RGB mode works with the ArcadeVGA on all but the most extreme modes. Games of high vertical res are best used in interlace mode with these monitors, but still look great. Maximum interlace resolution is about 720x480 I have not tested these with AdvanceMAME and/or PowerStrip, but these options should work as well or better with this unit.
They are really nice, re-certified, 27" viewable RGB monitors that you can also hook up a DVD player or console game to via the composite input.
There is a switch on the back of the unit (can probably be brought to front if a wired switch is hacked in) that allows for switching between the DB-9 RGB connection and the composite video connector.
These monitors were lightly used as part of a traveling video wall exhibit, and the previous owners stated an "on" time of only a couple hundred hours! The black metal cases may have a scuff here or there, but the screens are pristine, and the monitors are very bright and colorful. They are industrial quality and have been designed for heavy usage. New price was in the $1100+ range. The one in my cab has literally not been turned off in over a year (over 8700 hours!) and still looks like it did the day I put it in.
They are housed in a heavy sheet metal box that is just a bit larger than the tube itself. The makes them easy to fit inside of a 24.5" wide cab (like my Defender) without having to de-case them. The metal case is designed to stack about 500lbs on top of it, so you could dance on it without hurting anything :)

I have had professional shipping boxes and packing made for these to insure they are delivered safely. Each unit will be thoroughly tested to make sure there are no problems before being shipped.
The price is $275 including shipping to anywhere in the continental US (unless you live in some really weird place where UPS shipping costs double :P But that's the price for 99% of you)
I have a limited quantity of these and once they are gone, there won't be any more. I hate to get rid of them (especially for this price), but we need the space for new projects!
