Title: BYO Super Chexx anyone?
Post by: Mark70 on March 07, 2006, 09:53:59 pm
This idea is what made me build the Game Gauntlet my Mame cabinet.

I really think it's doable.  I looked into the cost of building one from the replacement parts that Happ Offers but the cost would be way way too high.

I figure the minimum that you need to buy is the dome and the players.

I still need an answer for the 90 degree gear boxes.

There's a Super Chexx repair manual which I think is too big to attach here that shows a lot of detail of how these go together.

Anyone ever thought of this?  Any ideas on other sources of parts that are less expensive.

Ive seen some homebuilt table hockey games.  They didnt have the dome, but i doubt that would be hard to add. The one i remember, the guy built his own players and everything.  I couldnt find the link to it, but you might want to try googling it.

So, I'm digging this one back up.

Anyone ever look at the similarities between a Chexx dome and a rectangular polycarbonate dome skylight?
